Epilogue
An epilogue holds within it the final, concluding act or event, the ending of the story, the closure and resolution. Epilogue, by Lewis Major, is that and something more: at once a deconstruction of and a meditation on classicism and the role that beauty has played in the shaping of the Western canon. With quiet defiance, it rejects the postmodern dismissal of beauty as irrelevant, reclaiming its vital place at the heart of art. A crystallised work that explores different processes and aesthetics to create a new language for a single solo dancer. At the intersection of this collaboration is a hypnotic show where modernity and tradition interact in perfect harmony.
