Welcome to the Movement Art International Dance Festival. Movement Art is a celebration of contemporary dance and artistic expression, bringing together exceptional artists from around the world. Through dance, visual art, music, poetry, singing, and interdisciplinary performance, the festival invites audiences on a meaningful journey of creativity, emotion, and reflection.

Founded by Saeed Hani and organised by Hani Dance and menschMITmensch e.V., the festival is rooted in the unique cross-border connection between Luxembourg and Trier. It creates a vibrant space where artists and audiences from different cultures come together to share experiences, exchange ideas, and build understanding through the universal language of art. Every performance is carefully selected for its artistic quality, emotional depth, and ability to inspire thought and dialogue. The works presented explore themes such as memory, identity, resistance, belonging, and human connection, encouraging audiences to see the world from new perspectives. More than a performance festival, Movement Art is a meeting place for cultures, stories, and people. menschMITmensch e.V. is a non-profit organisation. We promote the active coexistence of people through the diverse forms of expression of art and culture. Based on intercultural cooperation, the association forms sustainable structures and carries out national and international networking work. We are glad to be a member of TUFA Trier since May 2016.

Hani Dance, an innovative movement art company, was born in Germany in 2016 and has since found its home in Luxembourg City. Led by visionary Saeed Hani, a Syrian-German choreographer and director, the company transcends traditional boundaries. Saeed believes movement art is a versatile medium capable of exploring human history. Drawing inspiration from objects, painting, photography, environmental music, visual art, and human stories, he creates moving images that deeply resonate. Themes like spirit, power, war, walls, psychology, and nudity are central to his work, celebrating the human form and challenging societal norms. Hani Dance invites audiences to reflect on the human condition in a visually impactful manner.
