Thibaut Eiferman

Thibaut Eiferman is a Franco-American dancer and choreographer living in Paris, France. He was classically trained at the American Ballet Theatre School in New York City. He went on to dance for Ballet BC (Vancouver, Canada), Ate9 Dance Company (Los Angeles, USA) and Batsheva Dance Company Ensemble (Tel Aviv, Israel). His work as a freelance dancer includes Compagnie Christian François Ben Aïm and Oona Doherty/OD Works. He began his first choreographic project, HHH, in 2018. The short version of the piece won First Prize at the Machol Shalem International Choreography Competition in Jerusalem in 2018 and Critics' Prize at the Hannover Choreography Competition in 2019. The piece was also selected for the Danse Élargie 2020 competition, became winner of the Groupe Gestes platform in 2021, and participated in the Groupe des 20 Théâtres en Île-de-France in 2023. During 2023-2024, the full-length work was invited to take part in the Aura International Dance Festival in Kaunas (Lithuania) and the Théâtre des Bergeries in Noisy-le-Sec (France). In addition to his work on stage, he collaborates with filmmakers, visual artists and photographers to enrich his relationship with dance in other mediums. His video piece La Fuga dei Cervelli has been shown at numerous dance film festivals. He is also certified in Gaga, which he teaches regularly in Paris. In 2024, he and the visual artist Alice Vasseur were the recipients of the Académie des Beaux-Arts choreographic residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris.

Company Entity has existed since the creation of HHH (short version), and has then accompanied the development of Thibaut Eiferman's stage and digital work. The company lies at the intersection of gestural theater and dance. Redefining the body and its movement is at the heart of the inspiration and language of the work of the company. It was founded in 2019.
